i was reading the project superstar blog and i saw this post. i found it interesting and somehow meaningful and so, i decided to post it here. and yes, i edited some parts..

...what's in a name?

i go by "sin ren" in sch, but my best frens call me "drew". my parents call me "kan sin nen", and my siblings call me "khan sin ren". then most recently, some of my babes have begun to address me as "drew", and new frens, "sissy" -urghh i hate this name!- yet, in spite of all these variations of the official term on my pink identification card, i am, still, me. and it doesnt matter just how u call me as long as we both know who ure referring to, cuz yes, u've still got me. SO, does all these "names/ nicknames/ tags/ identification concepts" mean anything then? mebe in the depth of relationship these terms imply since only people closest to u give u nicknames, dont they? but honestly to me, they are just random words that only serve the purpose of addressing a person, and are in no way, methods of identifying who a person is.

-- .. so just stop calling me names which are NOT RELATED TO ME. e.g sissy, gay, etc. i really hate it .
